Nov 24, 2013 · Power supply buzzing noise. This morning I woke up and noticed a buzzing or humming sound coming from the xbox one power supply. It's not loud but my room is dead quiet and it's annoyingly noticeable. The console is off, but I have the quick start up option enabled. Is there a problem with the power supply or is this normal?

After doing a bit of research I found that the Xbox One X, the Xbox series X, and even the PS5 have the same standard generic figure eight cable (IEC C7), and can be used interchangeably. You can also buy any alternate length IEC C7 cable and it will work without issue.

However, Microsoft and the Xbox team cannot make any recommendations other than using the AC power cord that came with your Xbox One S.
