Apr 21, 2024 · Bismarck will come eventually. We know they have a model ready for it because War Thunder Mobile has it already. Not sure when it will come, but it will. Just because HMS Hood faced it doesn’t mean it was equal to it (Hood is certainly not equal to Bismarck). It will come in an update at some point.

Dec 9, 2024 · So with famous battleships being announced to come in 2025, I think it’s time I start paying attention to naval, but I still don’t know in which line the ships I’m interested in would come. I would like to know where the USS Iowa ( or any Iowa class battleship) would be placed in the Tech Tree, same for Bismarck.

Apr 25, 2024 · The smaller the calibre, the better. Its the same with cruisers. 15cm tripple turrets are alot more precise and faster firing than Spee’s 28cm. Which are hell of inaccurate and suffer long reloads. So you get much better matches with Nürnberg’s or any US cruiser with that calibre. Its the same with Scharnhorst’s 28cm guns vs. 38cm ones. Jul 5, 2024 · The Colorados are the worst of the early 16” ships by a fair margin. Mutsu is the best by a fairly large margin and is barely a Scharnhorst equivalent in the current damage model. Bismarck is an upgrade over Scharnhorst in about every way that matters in game, Colorado isn’t remotely in the same league.

Apr 24, 2024 · Only that Bismarck suffered extensive damage herself. Yes, but Bismarck had still all its guns operational + Eugens torpedo barrage. Even with one boiler missing, Bismark was still faster than PoW. They would have sunk her, PoWs main armament took 4h to repair. Time enough I’d suppose. Luckily Admiral Lutjens was one of the worst Germany had.

Apr 22, 2024 · Bismarck has a way thinner belt so hopefully the combination of thin belt plus turtleback is less broken than on Scharnhorst. But also Scharnhorst doesn’t really have any true analogues, whereas Bismark will be fighting true peer ships (and NOT Hood as the author of this post seems to think it should be).

4 days ago · Bismarck more or less replicates the armor scheme of Scharnhorst with in most cases marginal improvements. Without a complete damage model overhaul it will be just as unrealistically durable, while having guns that hit massively harder, negating Scharnhorst’s one real disadvantage.

Dec 10, 2024 · Haha, I’m no malicious, dude. But like the other country’s tech-tree, seems like the best way to prepare Iowa and Bismark is research all the top-tier ships. In historic , Nevada actually succeeded by Arizona, but in Gaijin’s tech-tree, they are in the different branch. So the answer is apparently, research all the ships!
