I am curious to know what others think of the best way to share a CAD file with a potential client. Meaning you want to send your 3d image to a potential client for approval. We tend to use 3d pdfs with photoview images attached, although the edrawings are really handy if the customer has edrawing installed.

I'd like to change Solidworks mouse setting like other brands 3D CAD programs. Like just Middle-button to Move/Drag instead CTRL+Middle-button. It's something that it's possible to do in all programs, why I can't find it on SW 2016?

May 31, 2018 · Export to DWG 3D. Hey everyone, I am looking for a (free or cheap) solution to be able to export 3D models to both OBJ and 3D DWG from a SolidWorks model. Until now I've been using 3Ds Max to do this, I save the 3D model as an stl file and import it into 3Ds Max, and from there I make my exportations.

The attached .stl file is a 3D scan of an item that was created by hand, there is no CAD data for it, I would like to create CAD data for this item. I have multiple files of this scanned item in different resolutions, one with 200k faces or triangles, 350k, 500k, 1m, & 2m resolutions. The scanned 200k .stl file is attached here.
