On Switch, sure the eshop loading is kind of horrible, but when you move your cursor over a game, there is a little .gif that play and show you a series of screenshots, to give you a taste.

Nov 29, 2023 · Steam is definitely going to make everything else look bad, but yes, the worst qualities of the PS5 store are very, very bad. UX has been kind of a sore spot for PlayStation since the end of PS3 generation imo. PS4 made improvements over time but was still pretty poor overall too, especially considering their market and mindshare lead.

Same if you have ps4/ps5 versions of the same game. Regarding the others I have no clue. Maybe restart in safe mode and rebuild the database.
I swear to god the PS5 store search function is useless.
Aug 4, 2021 · I swear finding anything on console is just nearly impossible and some games that are actually compatible with PS5 don't even show up in the store search at all. They really need to figure this shit out because the store experience is still one of the real lowlights of the PS5 experience to me.

Nov 29, 2023 · I dislike the Steam store as well, but it's a lot better than the eShop (on Switch), the MS Store (on Xbox), and PS Store (on PS5). That said, navigating the eShop on the web is a much pleasant experience than any of the other options overall, including Steam, although obviously it has far fewer features.

Nov 29, 2023 · Except the Xbox store tells you when a game is part of a bundle, which is one of the OP's gripes about the PS5 store. In addition, there's rarely any confusion or risk related to buying the Xbox One version of a game vs an Xbox Series X version of the game because THEY'RE THE SAME GAME thanks to smart delivery.

As it is now, pretty much the only way to get new ones is to buy them on a PS4 (I think they're still available on that store) or hope that some digital games include them. The PS5 does come with a pretty huge collection of preloaded avatars at least (go to edit your profile > avatars).
