Mar 8, 2012 · IMO (and many other folks), the best riding hull Mako ever made was the old Mako 254/251 and its cuddy brother, the Mako 258. This hull was 25' LOA with an 8' beam and 23 degree deadrise at the stern. It'll run well with a single 250hp or twin 150's. A stock 150 gal fuel tank gives it a lot of range with today's fuel efficient o/b.

Nov 19, 2012 · I just bought a 21 foot Monterey cuddy cabin boat. My wife and I absolutely love boating and just upgraded from an 18 footer. We really hope to be able to spend the night on anchor or mooring in quiet coves next summer. The cuddy is large enough and has a porta potty and small sink. It also has a camper cover.

Dahlbebop nailed it. If you dont wanna get wet in a fair weather CC , They're all wet boats. lol Buy a compfortable boat that has a dry place for gear and a dry place for people. Cuddy or W/A Hardtop wheel house works too. Most end up doing that after the fact. Do it now and save the $ and time. Good luck

Many of the builders in the Hi-Perf. world only use wood.....with alot of success. Its not best for seat cushions and the like, but bottom strength and transom.....wood when used properly is not always a bad thing.
