Operate the heater control and see if a door opens on the left looking in.The heater core should be on the left side of that door. Take the door actuator rod loose so it will be out of the way.

For the two back plugs closest to the passenger side, I jacked up the car, took off the front passenger tire (for more manuevering room), and removed them from underneath.

Unload the tensioner with a 1/2 breaker bar in the square drive lug on the tensioner arm. Slip the belt off one of the top pulleys and then release the tensioner.

Assuming 89 and 90 are the same, the BCM is mounted flat across the back of the fire wall to the upper right behind the glove box and has 2 purple connectors on the right side with LOTS of wires.
