In August 2011, Takefusa Kubo had been invited to join FC Barcelona’s youth Academy, La Masia, after passing the trial. He began to play for Barca Aleví C (U11). During his first full season (2012–13), he was top goalscorer in the league with 74 goals in 30 games. In his third full season (2014–15), he was promoted to Barca Infantil A (U14).

His drop of the shoulder and ability to go past players are of a similar level towards Vini, Leao, Mitoma etc.

Good bit of business all around. Kubo still has a lot to prove before even thinking of joining the first team at Madrid, especially after scoring 1 goal in some 30 apps last season for Mallorca, and finishing the season without even being a nailed on starter.

The whole team want's him to build confidence so he can learn to take the physicality that comes with first team football. I love how they all see his potential and want to nurture it.
