The Saul Leiter Foundation, founded in 2014, maintains an archive of Leiter’s artwork and operates activities to promote the medium of photography through educational programs, lectures, exhibitions, books, licensing, and other media.

Saul Leiter's photographs are abstract because a mood is depicted through the use of line, shape, shadow and colour. His images are the opposite of realism where artists will make there work look as does in real life.

This catalog is a personal project to share my collected Saul Leiter artworks and some photographs that I took of him. The range of his work from photography to painting is only recently reaching a wider audience from the efforts of Howard Greenberg at the Howard Greenberg Gallery and Margit Erb at the Saul Leiter Foundation .
