I've seen every documentary out there about the Silk Road site and everything about Ross Ulbricht's (the creator) story is fascinating. Brilliant college graduate becomes dissatisfied with his field of study, decides to independently study libertarian economics and then very secretly becomes a millionaire creator of an anonymous black market site.

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Ross Ulbricht's story, but he is the creator of Silk Road, a dark-net marketplace he operated between 2011-2013 that facilitated buying and selling of goods (mostly drugs and fake IDs) for Bitcoin. Ross never handled these goods, only connected buyers and sellers, charging a 10% commission on the sale.

The evidence that he tried to murder multiple people was presented during his trial. That evidence showed that Ulbricht tried to have multiple people murdered.

Acting as "Nob," the government-sanctioned account through which he interacted with Ulbricht's online persona Dread Pirate Roberts, Force took payments from Ulbricht that he didn't tell his superiors about and diverted the bitcoins into his personal accounts. Ulbricht was tried earlier this year and sentenced to life in prison in May.

Ross Ulbricht was convicted for being a political dissident in the drug war Nope. You're allowed to oppose the war on drugs, and millions of Americans do. Ross Ulbricht is not the Dread Pirate Roberts. According to his own diary, he was in fact the Dread Pirate Roberts. It turns out one should not diary one's illegaal acts.

So for those who may not know Ross Ulbricht was arrested 11 years ago for hosting and administrating the famous Silk Road which was a hub for the sale of illegal goods and services (mainly drugs). He is currently serving life without parole for computer hacking money laundering and conspiracy to commit various other crimes.

Ulbricht was subscribed to the Life++ plan by the DoJ. Commute in this context likely means Ross's sentence would be reduced to time served and he would get to have a life. I'm guessing that life, as a felon, would include writing a book and going on speaking tours, warning of the dangers of hosting in Iceland and trying to outwit the ...

Nov 14, 2019 · It’s a weird theory I have. The Silk Road was launched in February of 2011 and two months later is when Satoshi sent his last known email stating that he was “moving on to other things”. Two months after that the Silk Road exploded, and two years later Ross Ulbricht was arrested. Maybe Satoshi Nakamoto was Dread Pirate Roberts.
