Mar 3, 2012 · Situated just off the Causeway Coastal Route, Whiterocks Coastal Park enjoys a stunning natural location, with limestone cliffs stretching from Curran Strand to Dunluce Castle. On a year round basis, the beach is a magnet for water sports enthusiasts, especially surfers, but body boarders and surf kayakers are also regular visitors.

Amazing sandy stretch of beach popular with locals and especially with visitors, not forgetting all those keen on water sports, particularly surfers. Easily up there amongst the best in the world. We found Bondi didn't have a patch on this one - there is no comparison in our opinion.

The town is well known for its three sandy beaches, the West Strand, East Strand and White Rocks, as well as the Royal Portrush Golf Club, the only golf club outside Great Britain which has hosted The Open Championship – in 1951 and 2019.

East Strand Beach, at the heart of the coastal resort of Portrush, forms a continuum of sand, approx. 2.5 km / 1.6 miles long, merging into Curran Strand and Whiterocks at its eastern extremity. East Strand Beach is popular for water sports all year round, especially surfing.

Whiterocks is a beach in Portrush, Northern Ireland. Imposing, it boasts vast stretches of sand, in stark contrast to its white limestone cliffs. The area is ideal for water activities (swimming, surfing…), hiking, or for a bit of fishing on foot, tide permitting.
