    The PS2 cannot use the internet as a browser or in-game. Sony shut down all of the online game servers some time ago, and made no such add-on to the PS2 that would make it capable of browsing the internet. However, there are three ways to connect your PlayStation 2 to the internet: direct connection, router connection, and internet connection sharing (ICS). To set up PS2 online, you need a functional computer, a router with open ports, CAT 5 Ethernet cables, and a copy of any PlayStation video game.
