Is it worth moving from Oculus Rift S to Quest 2? - Condor
Oct 12, 2021 · I tried Rift S in my soaring club and it just convinced me that I needed VR goggles. When I bought Oculus Quest 2 I didn’t notice the difference until I flew again with Rift S : Quest 2 is much better. You still must by a USB C USB 3 cable, it’s not working wirelessly.

You can perform basic control of the Condor2 UI outside of a running simulation by using the Oculus home virtual desktop mode with the rift controllers. In simulation, you are still limited by which controls you can assign to your non-rift controllers and keyboard (which can be tricky!!

As for performance, over the past couple years I've used Condor 2 with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift S, and haven't noticed any significant difference between the wired headsets and the wireless configuration.

Jan 30, 2014 · The Quest 2's resolution is way way higher than the Rift. (Not sure how it compares to the Rift S but it will be at least slightly better) Oculus does have a feature where you can pin a window in VR which I use to bring XCSoar in by running it on the PC and linking it with a serial port emulator. Don't underestimate how good VR is for Condor.
