Jun 20, 2021 · Successfully upgraded my 4GB/64GB Surface 3 to Win11. Used the official MS registry key method. Going through Windows Update didn't work. Downloaded the ISO from the MS site, mounted it using Explorer, and ran setup.exe. Skipped the "download updates during install process" option just in case.

After the Out of Box Experience, just perform the normal Windows 11 updates as you would do with any new device and you will be good to go.

Jun 18, 2022 · A couple of updates ago I had a watermark on the desktop stating that it didn't meet minimum requirements as well as on the settings screen but after the following update those indicators went away. I keep my Surface 3 at work and use it very sparingly these days so I can't really comment on performance.
