I think Grassland Druid is probably the strongest Druid subclass in BG3, just in virtue of how busted the BG3 version of Haste is. Since unlike 5e, BG3's Haste functions as something like a 10 turn duration Fighter's Action Surge.

I go fighter 1/spore druid 11. High level druid with untouchable concentration is too good. Recast chain lightning, upcast elemental summons. I took fighter at lvl 1 to get concentration saves proficiency, heavy armor and dual wield style. And minimal delay in druid progression.

Aug 21, 2023 · And the Druid only receives extra attacks while in Wildshape, so a shillelagh build won’t do much either. Overall aside from a good spell list, most of which are consentration spells, the Druid is a bit lackluster in BG3.

Druid in BG3 seems to be primarily a support class, with access to tonnes of area control spells and mobility/healing spells, but thanks to Wildshape it can be fairly martial for a full caster, which I think is a lot of the confusion around it

Obviously Druid overall has some advantages over pure martial classes, but that requires taking advantage of their spellcasting & summoning outside of Wild Shape. Druids as a class are good at a lot of different roles in a party but can struggle to perform any singular role as well as a more dedicated class could.
Could I have some help making a bard Druid character?
Sep 26, 2023 · I highly recommend if you want to combine both druid and bard (a great lore combination btw), college of swords bard 3 with spore druid 9. The synergy you'll get is really good, although if you use mods, the multiclass 20 mod will really help this combination come to fruition by allowing you to get bard 6, unlocking the extra attack.

A storm druid was sorely lacking in 5e until the new Onednd sea druid, and this takes inspiration from the Fury druid from Pillars of Eternity 2, which is also loads of fun. Probably a bit too strong with how BG3 handles the wet condition but honestly not that strong once you consider stuff like tempest cleric and sorcerer.
