The first death came in March and the second followed in April 2023. Both deaths took place in Mount Pleasant. Both deaths were determined to be due to fentanyl.

West Virginia University has released its Fall 2024 Dean’s and President’s lists, as well as the full list of graduates for the fall semester. A total of 7,838 students earned honors during the fall.
