Samantha Chun, left, and Joseph Fujioka. The search for two missing teens off Oahu’s North Shore continued on Monday without success. Honolulu Ocean Safety said this evening it will resume the search with its partners today. The surf is expected to be smaller than in previous days.
Two teens missing in North Shore waters, search paused until morning
The National Weather Service had a high surf warning posted since yesterday for north facing shores. Ke Iki also has a reputation for being dangerous, as it claimed two lives earlier this winter. “Ke Iki beach: It’s dangerous, it’s deadly, it’s not a good swimming beach. Go to a beach where we have lifeguards,” Tinneny said.
