Rahul Dravid passed on his good wishes to Gautam Gambhir hours after he made his Test debut as the Indian cricket team's head coach. Gambhir took over from Dravid after he decided not to extend his tenure after the T20 World Cup victory.

Just hours after Gautam Gambhir signed the dotted lines of his Test debut as India cricket team’s head coach, Rahul Dravid wished him the very best. He took over the position after Dravid had decided against continuing beyond the T20 World Cup which the team had just won.

Rishabh Pant celebrated his Test comeback with his sixth Test hundred in the second innings of the first Test. Pant equaled MS Dhoni's record of most Test hundreds by an Indian wicketkeeper.

India are in a great position in the first Test against Bangladesh and look set to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The second Test will be played from September 27 at Green Park in Kanpur. The match could see India make a few changes to the squad.

On Day 2, the Indian bowlers rained fire on the Bangladesh batters, skittling hem out for a measly total of 149 with Jasprit Bumrah taking 4 wickets while Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja and Akash Deep snapping up 2 apiece.

With Rahul Dravid returning to Rajasthan Royals for another tenure, he is joined by his former colleague in the Indian team, Vikram Rathour.
