Deeply embattled music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently facing multiple criminal charges and more than two dozen civil lawsuits regarding a myriad of sexual assault and abuse allegations, is going on the offensive for a change and has filed a lawsuit.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Courtney Burgess, a man who alleged there are tapes of Combs involved in the sexual assault of minors, as well as Burgess' attorney, Ariel Mitchell.

THR reports tonight that Sean Combs (currently incarcerated and awaiting trial on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution) has launched a $50 million defamation suit against Courtney Burgess and Nexstar,

The lawsuit, which also names Nexstar, targets assertions from Courtney Burgess that he possesses videos depicting sexual encounters involving Combs and other celebrities.

Combs' lawyer says Courtney Burgess, who said he has videos showing Combs sexually assaulting minors and celebrities, is spreading "outrageous lies."

The lawsuit names Courtney Burgess, a one-time music industry bit player, his lawyer and the owner of the cable network NewsNation, which aired an interview with Mr. Burgess.
