Tesla will fix software for some imported Model S and X, and China-made Model 3 and Y cars over safety hazards, totalling more than 1.2 million units, China's market regulator said.

Tesla plans to distribute software updates and will guide vehicle owners whose models cannot receive remote updates to receive free parts replacements. According to Bloomberg News, the approximately 1.2 million Tesla electric vehicles subject to this recall is about half of the quantity sold in China as of the end of 2024.
