Another round of back-end game updates makes it once again appear that the long-awaited PC port of Red Dead Redemption 1 is actually happening. Fans have been through this rodeo before, but enough evidence is starting to pile up to indicate the release might actually be for real this time.

The Rockstar Games Launcher on PC just got another update yesterday, and along with the patch came down yet more evidence of a forthcoming release for the first Red Dead Redemption game on PC. We knew this was happening;

According to Twitter user TezFunz2, Rockstar accidentally included the metadata for the first Red Dead Redemption game on PC with its new launcher update. Additionally, the game has supposedly shown up on Steam's database, indicating that the PC version will also release on that platform.

The GTA V update by Rockstar accidentally had three leaked folders. The “Americas” folder is the codename for GTA VI, GTA V Gen9 folder, and a Red Dead Redemption folder. These folders were instantly reverted.
