INDIANAPOLIS — Falcons coach Raheem Morris and new defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich are working on a master plan to uplift the defense next season.

He was interim defensive coordinator in 2020 under interim coach Raheem Morris. Morris returned as Falcons head coach last year, and now he’s hired Ulbrich to be his defensive coordinator again.

Jeff Ulbrich is keeping his options open. The Jets interim head coach completed an interview with the Falcons for their vacant defensive coordinator position on Wednesday.

Morris likely won’t get the chance to correct another mistake at defensive coordinator. So he and the Falcons are all in on Ulbrich, and he seems a much safer bet.
