Transfer portal season has started. The portal doesn't open up until Dec. 9, but with the end of the regular season Saturday, players have begun making their decisions to enter the portal.

The Oklahoma Sooners picked up another piece for their defense on Monday morning, earning a commitment from former Oklahoma State linebacker/safety Kendal Daniels via the transfer portal. Daniels spent four seasons in Stillwater,

Indiana football has signed former Pittsburgh defensive back Ryland Gandy out of the transfer portal. Gandy made the announcement with a post on his X account. The redshirt junior was a full-time starter for Pitt in 2024 — he had 40 tackles (23 solo) with two pass breakups in 13 starts — and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Former Oklahoma State star linebacker/safety Kendal Daniels committed on Monday, he told On3. A former Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Daniels totaled 240 tackles, 7.5 Sacks, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Cowboys.

Oklahoma will have Robert Spears-Jennings and Peyton Bowen leading the position in 2025. Patterson-McDonald was a part of a 2024 recruiting class that saw the Sooners also bring in Michael Boganowski, Jaydan Hardy, and Reggie Powers III. In the 2025 recruiting class, the Sooners added Omarion Robinson and Marcus Wimberly to their deep safety room.
