MADRID (AP) — Kylian Mbappé credits a change in mentality for starting to play better for Real Madrid. Mbappé has struggled in his first season with Madrid but has been gradually meeting the expectations that came with his high profile.

Kylian Mbappé admitted he is now close to his best after scoring twice in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Las Palmas on Sunday, saying "I've adapted to the team now, and I can play as I want."

Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe has been in inspired form with four goals in their last three games and said on Tuesday it took him longer than expected to play like his old self after moving from Paris St Germain as he adjusted to a new team.
