India's injured quick Jasprit Bumrah will miss the five-match T20 international series with England, while Mohammad Shami has returned to the squad after more than a year out with an ankle injury, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) announced on Saturday.

The report further added that the T20 squad, which may be announced over the weekend, may not have any surprise exclusions or inclusions

Mohammed Shami is set to make his international comeback in the five-match T20I series against England which is scheduled to start from January 22.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee has picked the 16-member India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against the touring England team, with the opening match scheduled to take place on January 22 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

The Indian squad will be again led by Suryakumar Yadav, while all-rounder Axar Patel has been made the vice-captain for the IDFC First Bank five-match T20I series.
