Many sections of East Tennessee were ravaged by floods, but the flood-prone Little Pigeon River through Gatlinburg stayed within its banks. There are some exceptions and challenges, of course.

But could a winter storm ruin those plans for those headed to the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas? All of East Tennessee is under a winter storm warning from 10 a.m. Jan. 10 until 7 a.m. Jan. 11.
