Paige McQuay was arrested on suspicion of attempting to contact a minor to commit an unlawful offense and attempting lewd acts with a minor, according to Roseville police.

Fresno Police Patrol Sergeant Paige McQuay was taken to the Placer County jail Friday morning by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

Fresno police arrested one of the department’s own sergeants on Wednesday after he was accused of attempting lewd acts on a child. Sgt. Paige McQuay, 56, was placed in custody in Fresno after Roseville Police Department said he was the subject of a sex crimes investigation, according to a news release.

After almost a month of searching for the suspect who assaulted a homeless man in the Tower District, Fresno Police arrested 25-year-old, Roberto Felipe Olivera. Olivera surrendered himself to Fresno Police on Wednesday.
