She was also an assistant coach with USA Volleyball’s Select A2 Program. In 2010, Busboom Kelly married former Husker football player Lane Kelly. The couple have a son named Boone.

He was honored in 2008 by USA Volleyball, receiving its All-Time Great Coach Award. In 2017, Cook was inducted into the AVCA Hall of Fame, joining Pettit as a former Husker head coach in the hall.
