X (formerly Twitter) is experiencing a global outage, affecting app, website, and server connectivity. Downdetector shows a spike in user complaints, but X has not issued an official update.
But with X down, some users are jumping on Downdetector’s comment section to joke about the app going down, at least momentarily. “Did Elon finally kill twitter,” one commenter asked.
The issue began at 8am on Wednesday and more than 9,300 issues were logged on outage detection site Downdetector.
