Two people died and at least 10 others were missing Saturday because of flooding in Travis County, northeast from the catastrophic flooding that has killed more than two dozens people in Kerr County.

A t least 24 people are dead after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, on Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, the sheriff said. Children are among the dead, said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who has taken on the duties of acting governor.

The death toll from sudden floods in the Texas Hill Country rose to 24 Friday night, officials said, as the search for more than 20 people missing from a girls summer camp continued through the night.
