A walk-through on Sunset Boulevard on Thursday in downtown Palisades revealed a tiny microcosm of the havoc the Los Angeles wildfires have wreaked.

KTLA reporter Gene Kang was on Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive, which was packed with abandoned vehicles. A firefighter noted the vehicles had been left without their keys and blocking an evacuation route, preventing fire crews from accessing the area.

Fire officials moved approximately 30 abandoned vehicles on roadways to clear a way through as people fled the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles.

Emergency officials used a bulldozer to clear several cars that were abandoned along Sunset Blvd as the Palisades Fire roared close.
