Ohio State and Notre Dame are two of the biggest brands in college football, but the television ratings weren’t exactly indicative of that. The game had 22.1 million viewers, and peaked with 26.1 million viewers in the 8:30-8:45 p.

The Ohio State Buckeyes managed to take down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2024-25 National Championship game, 31-23.

The 22.1 million mark marked a drop from the 25 million who tuned in for Michigan's 34-13 victory over Washington in 2024.
