During Anime Expo 2025, Netflix and CD Projekt Red officially announced Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 — a brand-new installment of the acclaimed anime series set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Back in October 2022 the producer of Cyberpunk Edgerunners cast doubt over a second season, saying the anime had been conceived as a standalone work, and as such nothing else was planned at the time.
