The Carolina Panthers placed running back Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve, ending his season with two games to go, the team announced Saturday. Hubbard practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable with knee and calf aliments for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It may have come to an early end, but Chuba Hubbard’s career year will go down as one of the best in Panthers franchise history.

A person familiar with the situation says the Carolina Panthers are shutting down Chuba Hubbard for the final two games of the season because of a calf injury.
