Aidan Birr kicked a 23-yard field goal with 11 seconds left and No. 14 Georgia Tech rallied for a 36-34 victory over struggling Boston College to remain tied for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

On Saturday, Boston College football (1-10, 0-7 ACC) suffered its 10th consecutive loss as the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-1, 6-1), ranked No. 16 in the nation going into the matchup, kept its College-Football-Playoff hopes alive with a thrilling, 36-34 win.

No. 14 Georgia Tech averted a catastrophe when placekicker Aidan Birr’s 23-yard field goal attempt sailed through the uprights with 11 seconds remaining to give the Yellow Jackets a 36-34 victory over BC on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
