Amazon has launched a new, mobile-only shopping service called “ Amazon Haul ,” which touts low-cost items of $20 or less. Some consumer experts are seeing it as a new way to counter the two sites – Temu is a Chinese-owned site based in the U.S. while Shein was founded in China but is based in Singapore.

Amazon's new online discount service, Amazon Haul, has products priced at $25 or less. It's a move to offset shoppers' move to Temu and Shein.

Amazon has launched a new outlet called Haul which caps the price of products on sale at $20 (£15.79), in an effort to take on low-cost retailers Temu and Shein. The online shopping giant unveiled Haul as a mobile-only experience available in its Shopping app for US customers on Wednesday.

In a blog post on Wednesday, the company said the new Amazon Haul storefront will mostly feature products that cost less than $10 and offer free delivery on orders over $25. Amazon plans to ship the products to US customers from a warehouse it operates in China,

Amazon Haul was unveiled Wednesday in beta form, designed to compete with Chinese retailers Temu and Shein on sales of ultra-low price products.

All items on Haul will be priced at $20 or less and take up to one or two weeks for delivery.
