The Space Launch System (SLS) core stage and rocket boosters have now been stood up and mated in preparation for NASA's Artemis 2 moon mission.

As for the launch vehicle pictured above, the Saturn IB was the final in a series that began with the Saturn V check-out vehicle ... used to stack NASA's Space Launch System (SLS).

For now, it looks like NASA’s orange behemoth has a little life left in it. All the hardware for the Artemis II mission has arrived at the launch site in Florida.
