Kim Mulkey had a gift for Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell's baby before LSU tipped off against Tennessee on Thursday.

Prior to tipoff in Knoxville, LSU women's basketball head coach Kim Mulkey shared a moment pregame with Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell. Mulkey presented the first-year head coach with a gift bag followed by a short conversation.

Tennessee demonstrated more than effort and resilience against No. 4 LSU. Its talent also was on display in the two-point loss.

No. 6 LSU (17-0, 2-0 SEC) will face a road test at No. 16 Tennessee (13-1, 1-1 SEC) at 5:30 p.m. CT in Thompson-Boling Arena. With the College Football Playoff in action Thursday, the LSU-Tennessee game will only be streamed on the SEC Network+.
