In a series that forced the Celtics to shift away from their usual style, the Magic never solved the Tatum problem. He slammed the door on them with 35 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in Game 5 after dominating in crunchtime of Game 4 in a 37-point, 14-rebound outing.

Tatum isn’t the only player who deserves scrutiny for the team going down 0-2 in the series to the rival Knicks. Mazzulla and the defense haven’t figured out how to slow down Brunson in the biggest moments. The team-wide turnovers and overall shot selection are problems. This year, the Boston Celtics stormed into the postseason looking every bit like title favorites, boasting a dominant 61-21 regular season record. But it didn’t take long for them to realize that the Orlando Magic weren’t just bringing skill to this series but they were bringing serious physicality too.
