The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection says all residents and businesses in Flemington should boil their water until further notice.

The National Weather Service is sending a survey team to inspect the storm damage in parts of western New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

While 15 hurricanes have passed close to New Jersey since 1850, only one made landfall and ran through the state as a category 1 hurricane, according to NOAA's Historical Hurricane Tracks.

Meanwhile, in Hunterdon County, several trees and large branches were brought down in Flemington. A large tree came down on some wires there as well. Fortunately no injuries were reported.

The lifting of the advisory also affects Raritan Township customers who receive their water from the Flemington system. The advisory did not affect New Jersey American Water customers.
