Florida’s Drop Top Customs is developing a convertible conversion for the electric Dodge Charger Daytona. Images of a prototype were posted to the company’s Facebook page in November, but were first reported on by Carscoops last week.

It wasn’t all that long ago that Dodge announced the “Last Call” editions of its popular muscle cars, some of the most powerful ever produced by commercial car makers. At the time the industry was bullish on the EV future and Dodge went all in, announcing that its iconic muscle cars would be replaced by electric versions.

Dodge is rolling out a hefty discount on the 2025 Charger Daytona EV even though it hasn’t officially hit the market yet.

Before the roof gets sawed off, a new Charger Daytona R/T starts from just under $60,000. It has a dual-motor AWD system making 456 horsepower and has a 100.5 kWh battery. The official range figure for that car is 317 miles, but with the roof open, that figure will probably drop off.

Although it's gone electric, the Dodge Charger continues to built in Canada in a plant that's almost 100 years old.

The Dodge has never officially produced a convertible Challenger, but in 2022, it addressed this demand by offering a conversion done by Drop Top Customs.
