Collins, a Cincinnati native, has always maintained close ties to his roots in southern Ohio, and in 2005 he co-wrote a song paying tribute to the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.

Analysis: Cincinnati had to get an interior lineman in Day 2, and Fairchild is it. He fits the Bengals' scheme, but I worry about balance issues in pass pro against quality interior rushers.

Cincinnati went 3-3 in the AFC North and 6-6 in the AFC as a whole. The Bengals went 4-7 in one-possession games, but they won only one game decided by a field goal or less (1-3).
