The departments that run Baton Rouge's fire trucks and ambulances are merging, Mayor-President Sid Edwards announced Monday.
A woman is behind bars after she allegedly started two separate house fires at neighboring properties on the same day.
“This represents a significant step forward for public safety in our community,” said Baton Rouge Fire Department Chief Michael Kimble.
According to the West Baton Rouge Fire Department, the fire happened at a manufactured home on Nolan David Road. As of 5:45 p.m., crews were still on the scene.
