Former big league pitcher Fernando Valenzuela enjoyed a 10-year career with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The club gave him a chance and bought out his Mexican Pacific League contract in 1979.
A mural of Dodgers icon Fernando Valenzuela, painted by artist Robert Vargas, was unveiled in Boyle Heights on Sunday in a ceremony that was attended by Jaime Jarrín, Edward James Olmos, and others.
