The New York Jets interviewed Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for their head coach position. Smith was the Atlanta Falcons' head coach from 2021 to 2023. He was the 11th known coaching candidate to speak with the Jets.

The New York Jets interviewed Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores on Friday for their head coach vacancy. Flores is the 13th coaching candidate to meet with the Jets, who are also expected to speak to Vikings quarterbacks coach Josh McCown and Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.
