Jets head coach Robert Saleh offered an update on C.J. Mosley (toe) Friday morning after his team’s 24-3 win over the Patriots. Saleh told reporters that he’s confident that the veteran linebacker will play in next week’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Aaron Rodgers had exactly the type of performance the New York Jets envisioned when they acquired him last year. The star quarterback was calm, cool and dominant while leading the Jets to a 24-3 rout of the New England Patriots in a happy homecoming Thursday night. And Rodgers said he’s only now starting to feel like himself again.

These are not the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick Patriots — not even close — but you can’t take away what Jeff Ulbrich’s defense and Aaron Whitecotton’s defensive line did in this game. The Jets were a step (at least) quicker than the Patriots and had Jacoby Brissett bracing to be hit for most of the game.
