The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that India has notified the ICC of its decision not to travel to Pakistan for the 2024 ICC Champions Trophy.

Pakistan Cricket Board seeks advice from its government after India’s refusal to cross the border is confirmed.

"The PCB has received an email from the ICC, stating that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB has forwarded that email to the Government of Pakistan for their advice and guidance," a PCB spokesperson told Hindustan Times.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) of India's decision to not to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy. The ICC has not relayed the message to the PCB.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday initiated talks with senior government officials to discuss future course of action after ICC conveyed to PCB about India’s unwillingness to tour the country for next year’s Champions Trophy.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has delayed finalizing the schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy due to India’s refusal to participate in the tournament in Pakistan. India’s stance against playing in Pakistan has led to ongoing discussions between the ICC and its member nations, causing a postponement of the scheduled event announcement.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Sunday that India had informed the International Cricket Council about its unwillingness to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled in February-March next year.

The PCB is seeking advice from the Pakistan government on how to proceed with its hosting of the Champions Trophy, after the BCCI made clear it will not send India to Pakistan for the tournament in February.
