The Toronto Maple Leafs might soon see Anthony Stolarz back in action and stopping pucks in goal for them. The goaltender has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury on Dec. 12 against the Anaheim Ducks but he appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery,

Stolarz was on the ice for approximately 40 minutes, including some time with the team, while Knies skated before Toronto's practice.

Stolarz, who last played on Dec. 12 against his former team, the Anaheim Ducks, underwent a procedure to remove a loose body from his knee and has been sidelined for more than a month.

McCabe has missed the last two games after going down hard following a fight with Philadelphia Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway. The 31-year-old left the ice on his own power but didn't return and hasn't been seen since.

Without the former Panther, the Leafs have relied on Dennis Hildeby and Matt Murray to occupy the backup role. Murray allowed seven goals across two starts, while Hildeby posted an .878 save percentage and 3.32 GAA in six starts this season.
