West Ham have set a foundation after riding luck to beat Fulham - Goals from Carlos Soler, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta made it a winning start in the Premier League for new boss Potter.

There was a time when Lucas Paqueta would only fleetingly show the offensive traits that made him a valuable asset to West Ham United. But two games into the Graham Potter era and those redeeming features are now the norm rather than an exception.

If this was a sign of things to come from West Ham then the ride could be a lot of fun with Graham Potter steering the ship. Carlos Soler, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Pacqueta were on target as the Hammers punished two mistakes from the visitors to earn a positive, if unconvincing result, with Alex Iwobi netting twice for Fulham.

West Ham have been a bit of a mess this season and Graham Potter has a fair bit of work to do. Some of the results have been OK but others have been catastrophic. They have the players to do so, but there has been no confidence or belief,
