TOKYO: A man stabbed three people at a train station in central Japan on Wednesday (Jan 23) before fleeing the scene, leaving one person dead, local media reported.

TOKYO -- One man died after a fatal knife attack near Japan's JR Nagano Station at around 8 pm local time on Wednesday, local media reported. Three people, including two men and one woman, were attacked by a suspect wielding a knife-like weapon near the Zenkoji Exit bus rotary of JR Nagano Station, the national broadcaster NHK reported.

One person was killed and two hurt in a stabbing attack Wednesday at Japan's JR Nagano train station. One woman and two men were waiting for a bus on the station's north side when they were attacked.
