Season 2 of “Squid Game” is racking up views at a record pace. After topping Netflix’s charts last week with 68 million views in four days — Netflix’s biggest TV debut ever — the season picked up another 58.

Now, players get the choice to end the games between every challenge. If they do choose to leave, they get to split the current prize pot, which goes up with every death.

While Netflix has established that season 3 of Squid Game is coming in 2025 in multiple promos for its content in the coming year, they may have accidentally let the exact date slip.

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk and Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae are back for more death-defying games and nefariously masked villains as the series returns after a three-year absence.

According to Netflix, season 2 scored 68 million views in its first week, making it the most-watched premiere week ever. That means it steals the crown from Wednesday, which netted 50.1 million views in its first week.
